LunaLunestia Gazette #4: Time for Some Spring Cleaning! 🧹

Gazette #04 | March 14, 2026

Spring Cleaning

Letting go of wants, needs, and desires

Happy March, Reader!

Winter is thawing away and spring is making its way up in the Northern Hemisphere! As much as I love winter for the snow, we were hit with three major blizzards this year, and I am quite tired of it. I yearn for the spring season and with sunny days coming up, I’m ready to be out in nature once again. Prepare yourself to get a cozy drink, welcome spring with this spring cleaning themed gazette!

Hey Luna, What’s New?

Guardian Angel is now available on InPrnt!

Ever wonder about the miracles in life? Both big and small? There may be a Guardian watching over you...

⛅ Story ⛅

And there she fell. Far, far down below the clouds and into the sea.

It was too late for Lucio, for she had already eaten from the Tree of Knowledge, and the heavens cried. Her childhood friend watched as she fell, and upon command, protected her from harm. To not be swallowed by the dark abyss and be washed ashore on Pangea.

All Lucio could do now was to only guide and protect her as an invisible force. For she could no longer see her friend from the Heavens.

⛅ The End ⛅

This month, I have finished an old WIP that’s been sitting in my unfinished works folder for two years! Guardian Angel is finally done and I am so happy to return to finish this piece. Inspired by cloud iridescence, I painted one of the characters from my comic, The Elements of Luna, Lucio looking down from the heavens.

Supporters on Patreon will be rewarded with a high-resolution download (personal use only) and a narrated time lapse of Guardian Angel along with early access of The Elements of Luna, Chapter 4, at the end of March!

Do You REALLY Need That?

Let’s be honest, we’re all hoarders in some way, somehow.

I’m guilty of hoarding art supplies, video games, movies, and books. However, for this newsletter, I’ll be using my guilty pleasures in learning how to let go of stuff I don’t need anymore and/or use what I already have. This also includes holding onto bad habits that affect us emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Asking myself, what is it that I’m holding onto that I need to let go? What’s ready to be let go of the most? Taking the time to reflect and journal helps so much. Of course, if needed more help, seek out a professional to find closure and healing to let go. No need to be like Gollum and his Precious.

While I didn’t mention this in previous gazettes, I would like to branch out to different art mediums again, as I have a lot of traditional art supplies in storage… that I haven’t used… yet. You see where this is going? While I am mostly a digital artist, I also like creating watercolor paintings, and I would like to dabble in watercolor again to use up the materials until they’re all done. Along with having many other supplies that I don’t use and will be donating those to some of my artsy friends, art fairs, or to the local thrift store. Where someone else will find more use in something that I don’t need anymore. Something that will make someone else happy rather than sitting to gather dust. Time for a long overdue spring cleaning. 🧹

Did you know that The Elements of Luna and Origins are sketched traditionally before the digital inks and color? I’m even considering stopping buying 11” x 17” comic book paper as soon as I’m done with my current batch, for how expensive each pad has become, being $24.73 per art board of 24 sheets (I remember they used to be $18 each). I’m also running out of space to store everything once they’re done. On top of that, art supplies have become quite expensive, and miraculously, I taught myself that I don’t need extra supplies whenever I go to craft stores like Michaels or Blick Art Materials. Only to buy the essential tools, such as a new small sketchbook whenever I finish one, mechanical pencil leads for refill, eraser, and ballpoint pens for drawing. Keeping in mind of the financial budget too is important and whether I want to spend money on comic book thumbnail pages or use a cheaper sketchbook to draw comic thumbnails and layouts instead. As long as it does the job and it’s affordable, I will use it. Hence why so many traditional artists eventually move to digital, a subject for a different time.

A Peek into The Elements of Luna

Chapter 4: Lost is in the works! 🎉

Last time I worked on the Elements of Luna was before starting my senior project, Origins.

Thankfully all the background work is done for this chapter and I only have 16 pages left to ink and color the characters, along with adding the speech bubbles and onomatopoeia (sound effects).

I look forward to finishing Chapter 4: Lost this month!
